Shiny Wu (she/her/hers) is an interactive media designer/artist/technologist
who finds her work centering around two things in conversations with people:
ways of communication between humans and machines,
and everyday patterns of modern stress and wellbeing.

She is a practitioner of wordplays and metaphors speculating artifacts and human behaviors,
from individual levels to larger social organisms. These come in collages of physical and virtual media spaces to transport from web designing to physically computing interactive installations, from experimental writings to generative audio visuals. She likes to ask why inbetween performances and real engagements.

Recent project: a wearable social organ, and how wearers could themselves become organs of larger social systems.

Wu currently works at Bowers Museum, Santa Ana as a Media Designer. She graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with an MFA in Media Design Practices (MDP), and holds both BS and BEng in Interactive Media Arts from New York University and New York University Shanghai.
