		<description>Shiny Wu (she/her/hers) is an interactive media designer/artist/technologist
who finds her work centering around two things in conversations with people:
ways of communication between humans and machines,
and everyday patterns of modern stress and wellbeing.

She is a practitioner of wordplays and metaphors speculating artifacts and human behaviors,
from individual levels to larger social organisms. These come in collages of physical and virtual media spaces to transport from web designing to physically computing interactive installations, from experimental writings to generative audio visuals. She likes to ask why inbetween performances and real engagements.
Recent project: a wearable social organ, and how wearers could themselves become organs of larger social systems.Wu currently works at Bowers Museum, Santa Ana as a Media Designer. She graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with an MFA in Media Design Practices (MDP), and holds both BS and BEng in Interactive Media Arts from New York University and New York University Shanghai.

Demo Dwelling Machines:
A Second Life Test Site
Second Life+design-reseach
SecondLife, Linden Scripting LanguageAn engaging, immersive demo/exhibition and discussion space in Second Life
exploring the possibilities of "home" as a hybrid technological place.

Joined as a design researcher for this project by designers Ben Hooker and Shona Kitchen.
Interested in the emerging everyday life in digital spaces, I joined Demo Dwelling Machines to also further explore human behavioral patterns and sense-making in virtual worlds, one of the design topics I have been interrogating in my works.&#38;nbsp;
In early conversations with Ben and Shona whom started the project, we had discussions about my role as a design reseracher to build out prototypes of speculative technologies inside Second Life, a multimedia platform where people could create their own avatars and build their own objects/places/interactions. The goal was to build “real-life-scaled” structures of a hybrid home, so people as avatars could wander around the prototyped space as if they were walking (or flying) through a real physical space, while experiencing new lifestyles.The idea of this hybrid technological space similar to an IKEA with lifestyle showrooms is introduced early to the main concept. Expanding on this, I started drawing text-graphs to ask questions of possible experiments. Such as having a catalogue of interactive experiences, the forming of a ritual for every visit of the space, ways to instantiate new structures that combines and/or translates off-screen behaviors with on-screen ones.

more processes and experimentsSptial Research: understanding features that make a “space” become a “place”&#38;nbsp;
Before any lifestyle experiments took place, I had wandered around various “places” in the Second Life “space” to collect typical features that may create the atmosphrere of a technolgical future. I had been an explorer before building “places” where people can explore. Understanding the existing inventories and the limits of coded functions, I started to immersive myself more in this particular space with growing familiarity.&#38;nbsp;It was not just some random wander. I designed the research process in these places to not only collect aesthetic and/or technological patterns, but to also identify experiments of scripted animations/movements.&#38;nbsp;What makes sense to click on a thing, and what doesn’t? What options of actions are usually paired with decorational/transportational/gaming/etc. objects? When does it make sense to walk, and when does it make sense to fly instead? Are users really walking freely on their own in the virtual space, or are there certain walk paths and directions designed for people to follow? The questions went on.

One of the main inquiries I kept on making was the transition and translation of when a “space” turned to a “place.” How I view it, Second Life is a “space” where people can visit to build alternative experiences. It is with these created alternatives thata draw multiple ways of interactions, where this “space” becomes a “place” with specific styles of events/routines/patterns and therefore reasons to visit.&#38;nbsp;With that concept, Second Life definitely becomes more than a platform or an interface, where the latters would be a derogatory 2-dimensionalize label to put on somewhere that not only could be interactive but also creative.
Spatial Experiment: artifact models and animated possibilities&#38;nbsp;

Ben and Shona had identified several technological artifacts to be incoporated into the hybrid home place, including billboard buildings (buildings as billboards), a sunset light (an artificial sun moving across and lighting up the palce), walls of camera tiles, etc.
I imported the 3D models of these artifacts into Second Life to test out model specs and interaction settings. For example, as a creator in Second Life, I could decide the next automated action/movement after someone touched or sit or do something with a specific object. This is the part where the creator decides how the “visiting residents” could view and/or interact with an object at “home.”

The concept of Demo Dwelling Machines is for this virtual home to be technologically inclined and driven, having interactions inspired by or responding to the new media perceptions/trends as new lifestyles. As seen in the slides, I continued to add new questions to the project, including: if everyday information is additional visual texts or integrated into the artifacts? Could we view information/experience technological aartifacts differently according to where and how we sit? How do people know if an object is sittable or touchable or manipulatable? The process of experimentation and speculating these questions also carried on many inquiries made during the sptial research stage.&#38;nbsp;

parts from the hybrid technological home built in Second Life
Following a blue-print of the place in Sketchup made by Shona, I built the architectural structures and the objects using simple builder shapes like circles and rectangles in Second Life. The process included a lot of measuring, positioning, and scaling in both Sketchup and Second Life, as well as preparing animated vector graphics with Adobe Suite.&#38;nbsp;It’s interesting working with restrictions (ex. shapes provided, 3D model complexity for uploads) and play with the associated functions to see what one can create. I created the moving sunlight, animated cargo truck parking strcuture, parking lots for visitors (assuming it’s a real hybrid home where people will stop here in the midst of their long drive to rest; or, their avatars could also be riding on cars in the virtual world), IKEA-style aisles with tall shelves and a logo of Demo Dwelling Machines with a similar font, advertisement sceneries, information marquee animated onto the sightseeing walkway’s columns, etc.&#38;nbsp;
The project is currently still carried forward by Ben and Shona.

SORGAN®wearable technology, design fiction
Technology: Internet of Things, ml5.js, p5.jsRedefining social balance and wellbeing in the digital age with a new human social organ,
a speculative technological headwear and government health promotion.&#38;nbsp;

read the official booklet by clicking here

SORGAN® is a speculative wearable that tracks social interactions 20 yrs into the pandemic, a design fiction based on a government wellbeing promotion for a “paradise state” of social balance. Sorgan, short for “social organ,” is a created term for the speculative headwear promoted by the government to help people keep their social wellbeing ballanced, by tracking human interactions and displaying as a self-adjusting tool. Social organ has been a metaphor for human brains, as brains help us process social information. With new technologies now more involved, I propose there be an assistive/replacing human organ, sorgan, which specifically handles the increasingly complicated social data. The setting in 20yrs after COVID-19 is to indicate the pandemic’s “contribution” to many innovations of social technologies, as well as to attribute to the increasing number of mental health issues due to social isolation.
The project extends from the structure of balance theory with the growing presence of virtual worlds, to question how the metaphorical balance of social weight is defined, measured, and visualized. By asking the wearers to reflect on what a standard for social wellbeing might be, people start to design their own ways to maintain balance while facing imbalanced scenarios.

Keywords: wearable technology, social organ, social balance, social weight, social wellbeing, social interaction, speculative headwear

Is there a standard for social wellbeing?Is there a way to design a standard for social wellbeing?
Is it possible for the government to design a standard for social wellbeing?
As more and more living functions are moving into the virtual realms, restoring “social balance” no longer means simply cutting the time using digital devices.
human beings as organs of a larger social organism SORGAN® promotes that an individual’s social balance lies in keeping an “overall positive” relationship structure between “the physical self,” “the virtual self,” and other individuals. And as each and every individual keeps socially balanced, the society as a larger social organism reaches a “paradise state of social balance” between “the physical world,” “the virtual world,” and all SORGAN® wearers.

early-stage concept mapping

organisms,
spatial sensemaking,
digital interactivity,
and system connections
The project started as an inquiry of the increasingly overwhelming digital communications, and was speculating a new human organ (specifically dealing with these digital-social interactions) to interrogate that.
The ways human communicate with each other have always been evolving, thus changing the perceptions of effective social interactions and relationships. With growing technologies like digital avatars in the metaverse, intelligent robots, VR/AR and so on,
How do we translate between everyday physical and digital interactions/communications?Would humans develop a new organ vital to a socially functioning human body in the new era of mixed realities?

Experiments: Digital Device as Organ
Before digital devices, we store our social contacts and interactions on paper, or as memories in our own brains. As digital devices arise, they help us connect to others and at the same time change the ways our relationships are collected, stored and displayed.
One could almost say that these digital devices like smartphones have become our organs, too, considering that nowadays many can’t leave their phones aside even for minutes. The differences are that these “organs” are attached (to us) when needed, and have programmed controls instead of automated bodily processes.

 What if in the future these “organs” become so important that they integrate into our bodies, processing digital transmissions as our daily needs just like eating and sleeping?One of the first experiments was to imagine a smartphone as the new “organ,” by adapting its motion controls into an everyday physical gesture, alongside a “health report” that displays the “social levels” this “organ” processes.

Using Zig Sim Pro and TouchDesigner, I was able to test different phone gestures, phone-to-phone interactions, and facial tracking funtions, to create different visualizations by collecting and counting the data numbers of interactions.This experiment and some of the following iterations using “device as organ” also interrogate on more questions of digital/physical translations, collections, and displays.
What physical movements/manners are lost when initiating digital interactions?
How do traces of digital presences/experiences intersect/collage?Does the overloading digital information require different bodily and sensory engagements?

What does it mean to display one’s socialness?
How do we evaluate social wellbeing in the new digital age?
more details and process image/video here:
&#60;img width="7000" height="7000" width_o="7000" height_o="7000" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/4696f2d7c0906f02d0c2fc6fd02238d5d85460ffbb28b4fe199e67887eca1272/1.jpg" data-mid="146070584" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/4696f2d7c0906f02d0c2fc6fd02238d5d85460ffbb28b4fe199e67887eca1272/1.jpg" /&#62;

With the various iterations of data visualizations, I was asking questions about one’s “socialness” by the health stautus of a speculative SORGAN
Experiments: from Device to Speculative Organ

But then what’s the difference between these “device organs” with the existing health-tracking technologies? These technologies that collect body data focus mostly on the quantitative qualities of health, and may have a preset design of a health visualization. This limits the true representation of the wearer’s/user’s health condition.&#38;nbsp;
With a “true social organ,” there could be a feedback loop of data interpretatoins and actions as wearer can truly self-observe and adjust both physically, mentally, and more.&#38;nbsp;To read about the writing part as research for this project, please read more in my paper Speculating a Wearable Social Organ for the Technological Age
Because of the detour from numerical data collections, my later experiments shifted interest and focus to designing the behavioral “performances” as a way to explore the qualitative, therapeutic processes of self-adjusting. The interactions that we initiate to socialize with people, how could we design them into a practice of self-observation for wellbeing?What if the metaphorical social weight are actual weights one carries, and can attach/detach on different body parts of own’s social strategies to keep balance?
What if you could see other’s socialness when communicating? What are visible and what are invisible?
Could there be a new set of bodily engagement with new technologies as we interact with ech other?
In those cases, sorgan becomes both the wearables and the processes of attach/detach-ing, weighing, displaying, and exchanging.&#60;img width="2400" height="3000" width_o="2400" height_o="3000" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/ba64b9e95e1f6627476c186dd6c830c68480d30eae08f5161b18c6c39d821f3a/2.jpg" data-mid="146066443" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/ba64b9e95e1f6627476c186dd6c830c68480d30eae08f5161b18c6c39d821f3a/2.jpg" /&#62;

City of David
collageA city of digital footprints around David at the Uffizi Gallery.

Prompt: A city of emergent conditions.
//City excursionsFollowing the prompt, I took three excursions, to Not Just Library, to the Taiwan Annual Exhibition, and to a virtual tour of the Uffizi Gallery on Google. Looking at those places as cities,and observe what had been designed there.
&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e858fa2d4521411075bbd7927368db13625eb816a78551a4fe0460fd4e93b2de/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions.jpg" data-mid="92674999" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/e858fa2d4521411075bbd7927368db13625eb816a78551a4fe0460fd4e93b2de/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions.jpg" /&#62;

This was at Not Just Library, an artbook library that had a public bathtub inside!

I took pictures of a book from each shelf at my eye-level.
By reading books and also sitting at different heights, I am imagining a topographic map
of a city based on its social hierarchies and how people look at things.

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/6b647075ccca8590715dd59a4050fa6f2ec454c0469f5ebaefe2a76329b7f337/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-3.jpg" data-mid="92675004" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/6b647075ccca8590715dd59a4050fa6f2ec454c0469f5ebaefe2a76329b7f337/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-3.jpg" /&#62;
This was at the Taiwan Annual Exhibition at Flora Expo Park.&#38;nbsp;

I tried to capture the backs and bottoms of artworks
The open space is divided into blocks of topics
and interestingly directly expose production material such as cablesThe usually unwanted parts are exposed. Do they represent the space like the artworks?

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/b124cf7b4e278682b8e97cfd8fb5e249cd972cd344c312b7a45dfbb3a7a402c6/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-1.jpg" data-mid="92675002" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/b124cf7b4e278682b8e97cfd8fb5e249cd972cd344c312b7a45dfbb3a7a402c6/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-1.jpg" /&#62;
It is a combination of expected and unexpected values.
I am taking so many weird photos for this assignment,
but I am also immersed in the space for seeing.&#38;nbsp;
People are performing their own weirdness,
just like how we are doing individual things in a collective city

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/42070a058f306f0f89fe1f6fafaf347981f0e8af442dfc7ec43e9cf4f8166940/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-2.jpg" data-mid="92675003" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/42070a058f306f0f89fe1f6fafaf347981f0e8af442dfc7ec43e9cf4f8166940/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-2.jpg" /&#62;

This was at the virtual tour of Uffizi Gallery on Google.

Almost ten years after I physically visited there.
The 360 photos have this blurry joint where they cut off the camera.
It seems to be the only sign of humans there.
If the future is a fully digital world,
Would human have digital prints instead of footprints

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/be9b0dc4f673ad1033e04d6a6c5fc8f2fa37444af41d361cb3e86b52b72a2f11/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-4.jpg" data-mid="92675006" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/be9b0dc4f673ad1033e04d6a6c5fc8f2fa37444af41d361cb3e86b52b72a2f11/Grad-Lab-Green-Group-Excursions-4.jpg" /&#62;
One time I even invited my friend
We were trying to find each other while we knew we couldn’t
The emotions went into pieces of writing, translations, and collages of message screenshots.
We saw no one but the digital prints. So we create our own existence.

//City collections
Somehow, the materials collected during excursions were already a set of collections. But to further look into the design choices made, I virtually visited the same places on three different Google sites to compare between.
&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/807d1628e2889441460f175eddf670dd3c15f5ab9ba7074258d38e1bce78d86f/Green-Group-Collections.jpg" data-mid="92676792" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/807d1628e2889441460f175eddf670dd3c15f5ab9ba7074258d38e1bce78d86f/Green-Group-Collections.jpg" /&#62;

Turns out, the blurred spots were consistent throughout different Google services.
I see those blurred spots as digital footprints
(since it often physically appears right below the 360 camera)

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/3c8e4a8555595dac9e78bce0f59cecf20c3edc7fa710fd3db8eb3934d76f3f80/Green-Group-Collections-1.jpg" data-mid="92676796" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/3c8e4a8555595dac9e78bce0f59cecf20c3edc7fa710fd3db8eb3934d76f3f80/Green-Group-Collections-1.jpg" /&#62;
Interestingly, with StreetView and Earth, I do find new people when I change to a certain viewing anglebut they are very inconsistent at a same placethis has me questionwhat if in the future we don’t actually live in cities, but live a city life virtuallyleaving visible digital footprints everywhere that is inconsistent
&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/6f01819aa3448a80b50dc38de429daa4631190b42133b9cb16da6f8d80c7db41/Green-Group-Collections-2.jpg" data-mid="92676799" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/6f01819aa3448a80b50dc38de429daa4631190b42133b9cb16da6f8d80c7db41/Green-Group-Collections-2.jpg" /&#62;
Taking a step back, do we want personal living data to be consistent as public information in a city?
Also, is this criteria mostly visual-based?
what about putting personal representation of the other senses as publicly accessible data too
are our standards for visuals higher than those of other senses?

I also collected the back of the family photo frames

&#60;img width="960" height="540" width_o="960" height_o="540" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/909f3285d8df9cd6573299d6bf17b3014c46a850e05e12c908c2f62c9e40bef0/Green-Group-Collections-3.jpg" data-mid="92676801" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/960/i/909f3285d8df9cd6573299d6bf17b3014c46a850e05e12c908c2f62c9e40bef0/Green-Group-Collections-3.jpg" /&#62;
combined with the previous concept of shooting the back of artworks at an exhibition
I wanted to see if the logic of showing the unseen parts
Could also apply to intimate settings
The process just brings up more questions:
Do family photos also need privacy like the face-blurring technology in Streetview
What is a new digital frame that we can store and present information/memory in a public space
What is the backbone structure that frame our experiences and supports our identity

And how do these design connect to the designs of a city?

//City Drawings
Finally, speculating a city from those collections.
City of dis-play-ful
&#60;img width="6667" height="3750" width_o="6667" height_o="3750" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/eb71187463a1509be0baab513526f423a3131ee10f95d5190eb1f91285a34cbc/dis-play-ful-frames.jpg" data-mid="92678011" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/eb71187463a1509be0baab513526f423a3131ee10f95d5190eb1f91285a34cbc/dis-play-ful-frames.jpg" /&#62;
&#60;img width="6667" height="3750" width_o="6667" height_o="3750" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/28b4170eb7bd1e88fd83b59c5640c6ac94268abfa9d0093e2d7ad47ae92dc780/city-of-dis-play-ful.jpg" data-mid="92678010" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/28b4170eb7bd1e88fd83b59c5640c6ac94268abfa9d0093e2d7ad47ae92dc780/city-of-dis-play-ful.jpg" /&#62;

I took the collections of photo frames and edited them into houses with doors.
Wealthier families got fancier photos frames as buildings.
Different positions see things differently, as you can see, the quarter circle at the bottom-left of the black frame is a person, and that person see things in an opposite and chaotic way.
This layout of this city also considered the issues of privacy under super surveillance,
and the live-stream culture nowadays.
City of David

Those shapes were my cutouts of the blurred spots from screenshots all linked together.

and view David as the landmark of this city of virtual space,
surrounded by an unorganized mess of digital footprints.&#38;nbsp;

I incorporated the navigation arrow on the Google services as the “new nature” of the City of David.
City of Polite Privacy

This city contemplates on the automatically implemented face-blur tech on certain sites.And it involves both living and non-living figures.(Are we living or non-living online?)&#38;nbsp;

And continued on the topic of digital footprints. What if every virtual site is a city itself, and every time we would visit the site, we become a temporal citizen of that virtual city? By living on flying drones, would we even need any physical city in the future?
In the City of David, David is the center and people come to the city to examine him. Every decision and movement on the web should leave digital footprints. The upper-left corner of a browser tab would by its lit up color show if the city is currently open to traffic. Flowers of location points are lined up surrounding David and also paved a straight path that leads to the great landmark. Those are the points people have stepped on, and when there are footprints, there would be surveillance.
David as a landmark of his own virtual city, also seemed to over simplify people’s desires and reasonings of being there. What could we do more than visit on the virtual space?

//Another City of David experiment

Virtual worlds are versatile. And that includes the City of David.&#38;nbsp;
I collaged elements of concepts from Nayoung, Noah, and Tieyang to the digital city I built. Nayoung with the illustrated people, Noah with the text-sign on some weird shapes I created, and Tieyang with the distorted buildings. It looked more like a “city” we are familiar with now.&#38;nbsp;

&#60;img width="4800" height="1800" width_o="4800" height_o="1800" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e9f8addab819d93e8953dfdd2d69fa13d1cf2cdbafa5919ff1417ca53bd66f8c/collab-experiment-72ppi.jpg" data-mid="92680816" border="0" data-scale="100" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e9f8addab819d93e8953dfdd2d69fa13d1cf2cdbafa5919ff1417ca53bd66f8c/collab-experiment-72ppi.jpg" /&#62;

My style is vivid, but in this case it’s a little too 2D.
So the four of us collaborated with what we had, designing more and more collage experiments.
some other collage I played with...

//City of a male-brain box
Tieyang developed more 3D landscapes, Nayoung with colorful characters, and Noah worked on visualizing the collected text signs. I constructed the structures of our collage.
My structure base went from

The title of the city came at the very last. Tieyang noticed that Nayoung’s illustrated human figures were all male unpurposefully. I looked at the moments of this city, and it felt to me like a box in some corner of a male’s brain. Study said that for male, thoughts are all separately packed into boxes and have their own spaces in the mind. The collage was colorful and playful, and different moments in the city seem to exist peacefully without bothering others. Hence, I came up with the name—the city of a male brain box.

//Prompt: Interaction as Event
Following the previous stream project: REAL talk REAL show, Shiny’s SIT-COME is continuing the format of a live-streamed talkshow, but further expand on the notion of digital game as a framed space, and speculate on the meanings of having virtual identities.
What are the kinds of events that would happen in this kind of space?
Part of the prompt included rapid prototyping by speculating 14 iterations of events. (see all 14 iterations)

One of the more interesting iterations was a workout weighing virtual conversation.&#38;nbsp;

&#60;img width="1600" height="900" width_o="1600" height_o="900" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e3a45730473c3cdd8bbc17ef7ff09ed07816a0727e2838c17886d97070c1dcac/workout-04.png" data-mid="92662817" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e3a45730473c3cdd8bbc17ef7ff09ed07816a0727e2838c17886d97070c1dcac/workout-04.png" /&#62;

Surely, virtual conversations have weight because they matter.&#38;nbsp;

The concepts involveMeasuring and evaluating the weight of virtual communicationThe effort/force to hold and push virtual conversationsGamification of TV show workoutsThe roles and efforts of guests and audience to participate in TV show workouts in an interactive talk show format
After selecting workout as the event type, I researched on visual references (see a presentation of the event visuals) and decided my visual language was collaging real human captures and virtual images:

There were a lot of unity test builds that prototyped the various possibilities of a “workout talkshow.”&#38;nbsp;

To this point, viewer interactions seemed to be too complicated in that they would have to multitask and listen to the talkshow content at the same time. I was advised to cut down parts for this short 10-minute event. Even if it was workout/gym-themed, it was a live stream talkshow afterall, and I should not lose that focus. The challenge here was to keep the experience engaging, while still being able to convey the topic of virtual identities and relationships.&#38;nbsp;

In the previous stream, the gameplay was interestingly framed and used as a wall decoration in the back of the talkshow. For this stream, perhaps the way to see its gameplay is to see the mental participation of this virtual conversation as a workout.
As adviced, I focused on the movement of chairs that serve as channels for viewers to navigate the digital. The idea of having the digital us as chairs actually went back to one of the event iterations, which is a sofa teleporting space for people to go to whatever event by sitting on the sofa.

Another big reference, thanks to Christie Wu, is Rick and Morty’s pizza universe, where the role of humans is switched with objects.

The idea of being chairs is amazing in that a chair is open for other subject/object/information to sit in, while also being able to be stacked on another, or be on top of something else (like a mat, or humans). For the final scene built in unity, with the help of Prof. Jenny Rodenhouse, I set up a host-controlled chair and a wandering guest-chair, ready for people to sit on. A lot of tweaking with the lighting and the visual palette.

&#60;img width="2274" height="970" width_o="2274" height_o="970" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/d4a1e38b769756655e9c0df0dbd1dbe03f6ee13a610a2881f5849903cfbd721c/sitcome-gameview.png" data-mid="92673577" border="0"  src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/d4a1e38b769756655e9c0df0dbd1dbe03f6ee13a610a2881f5849903cfbd721c/sitcome-gameview.png" /&#62;
Audience could type in the twitch chat to trigger events in unity, for example, “cheer” for a mug of YA at the current locations of both chairs, “applause” for applauses, etc.
